Vietnam

Long and thin, Vietnam's shape resembles that of the letter s. Located in Southeast Asia, it is the largest Canephora (also known as Robusta) producing nation and - next to Brazil - the second largest coffee producer globally. Around 97% of Vietnam's coffee production is Canephora, but Arabica is slowly but steadily gaining some ground.

The main producing regions are in the Central Highlands around Buon Ma Thuot, ranging from Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, and Lam Dong to Kontum.

Not surprisingly, coffee in Vietnam is more than just a cash crop. Coffee is part of its culture and is consumed in every corner of the country. Vietnamese coffee not only refers to beans grown in Vietnam but is also a coffee beverage sweetened with condensed milk.
